Beginners to 10K - 12 week course

Our beginners to 10k training sessions are just for women and last around 1 hour, although this will increase as the miles increase.  

They start with more walking than running and designed to allow the more able members of the group to go further.  Your current speed doesn't matter and our friendly runmums group will ensure no one gets left behind.

You’ll get progressively faster and runs will get longer as the weeks go by. By week twelve, you will be able to conquer the 10k!

The sessions are fun and designed so that we all work as a team and to encourage one another.

The sessions include:

Dynamic warm-up

Running specific strength and conditioning exercises

Running technique drills

Running specific core strengthening exercises

Static stretching
